The SAT test is conducted multiple times in a year. CollegeBoard releases real exams via different means.

• As part of SAT preparation material College Board publishes a preparation information booklet which contains one full length practice exam. This booklet is available for download from their website.
• College Board publishes an Official Guide (preparation book) which has a number of real exams or questions from real exams. This book can be purchased from various sources.
• Every year students who are preparing for the SAT exam can request a copy of the actual test for an additional fee. College Board releases up to 3 real exams in a year to students.

For any given exam date College Board makes multiple variations of the same exam. Each variation is identified by a different “form code”. All variations have the same set of questions but the sections are ordered differently in different form codes.

Organizations of different sizes have different needs when it comes to processing tests and Socrato has created several methods for processing tests. Choose the one that matches your business’ or organization’s needs best:

• Online Bubble sheet processing: Socrato has online “smart” bubblesheets that can be used to capture student answer responses. Students can use the online bubble sheets while taking the test or after their test is completed on paper.
• Bulk upload: A lot of our customers are able to produce a digital output of their student response data. Using Socrato’s upload tool they can process all student responses.
• Scanner Services: Since a lot of K-12 and admissions prep tests are still paper and pencil based, student responses are captured on paper bubblesheets. Socrato has created a utility cum service that allows you to process tests in bulk using a conventional office scanner.

The Socrato software has the capability for students to practice tests online. However the copyright of official SAT tests belongs to the CollegeBoard. Socrato does not host, sell or distribute any copyrighted SAT tests or questions.

A official prep book is available to students from the College Board, which includes real practice tests and you can purchase that directly from the official CollegeBoard site, or from any other official provider like Amazon.com. You can use the Socrato online bubble sheets in conjunction with the officially purchased content to process your tests.

If you have a custom test you have developed for SAT practice, you can upload that onto the Socrato platform for your students to practice. All tests are private unless a customer has explicitly given Socrato permission to share it with other customers.
